Thereputic Qi gong is a system of moves that effects all the major points on the body, supporting organ function and mental well being. Well balanced Qi creates less sickness in the body, more vitality, and a profound feeling of joy. It is the practice of flowing and moving your vital energy through your own body and sending it out to others. Wherever there are blocks in the body, the Qi can't move, stagnation occurs and disease or other ailments such as stress, sluggishness, depression may occur. As this vital energy is moved through the body, we can begin to heal from within.
Qi exists in all living species, from plants to bugs to elephants and humans. Qi in the yoga world is also know as prana. As we take in the breath, the Qi is extracted from the air and blended with the blood stream with the internal energy from our food and water.
